While the city of Phnom Penh has a quality drinking water system, the situation is different for provincial cities and sanitation services are still largely undeveloped across the country. Taking part in Cambodia in this sector since 2004, AFD has positioned itself as a privileged partner of public authorities, private operators and the government in order to reach its goal of total coverage of the water network in urban areas by 2025.
